The Global Award for Sustainable Architecture^TM, created in 2006 by the architect and scholar Jana Revedin with the Cité de l'architecture and du patrimoine of Paris, rewards every year five architects who contribute to a more equitable and sustainable development. They experiment innovative participatory approaches to meet the needs of societies. To celebrate the centenary of the creation of the Bauhaus by Walter Gropius, the 2019 Global Award honors the multidisciplinary and social-reforming objective of the Bauhaus pedagogy by giving the subject : « Architecture is science, art and crafts at the service of society ». The winners of this new edition are professor Werner Sobek (Germany) ; Rozana Montiel (Mexico) ; Jorge Lobos (Denmark) ; Ersen Gürsel (Turkey) and Ammar Khammash (Jordan).
